The 2012 Youth and Adult Exchanges (American youth to Nijkerk and Dutch adults to Schenectady) are in the planning stages...
The committee has been busy...consider becoming a host family for a Dutch person or couple....volunteers for all aspects of the adult exchange in September are needed because we are the hosts this time....applications are being accepted for American youth desiring to go to Nijkerk in July but space is limited so act soon.
Schenectady Colonial Festival hosts fabulous first dinner February 8,

The Schenectady/Nijkerk Council with the
aid of the Community Archaeology Program of Schenectady County Community College sponsored a dinner on February 8, 2011 as part of the events for the Colonial Festival at the Glen Sanders
Mansion. It was a very
special evening with artist Len Tantillo showing and discussing his artwork. Over 200 people attended, and all who were there participated in the very first of what we hope will be many future such gatherings.
